For forklifts nowadays, there are many attachment options offered. Most attachments are made to be used on typical forklifts and are made to be used on VNA and reach trucks. It is vital to note that OSHA needs approval for any attachment which must be approved for use by the particular lift truck manufacturer.

The sideshift attachment is considered to be standard forklift equipment. The sideshift apparatus allows the fork carriage to slide right and left as well as allow for more accurate load placement. The sideshift enables the operator to be more versatile with the machinery.

Fork positioners are an attachment option which enables the operator to adjust the distance between the forks from the cab of the truck. This particular attachment is mostly used in high volume operations where there is a wide range of pallet and crate sizes handled.

The fork pivot enables the carriage and forks to rotate or pivot. Used for dumping and transporting hoppers that is especially designed. These attachments are very useful for various industrial operations.

Slip sheet attachments are another attachment that are used where slip sheets that is plastic, or paperboard or a sheet of cardboard which are used rather than pallets. The slip sheet attachments use a push and pull mechanism which clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls the cargo onto a thin platform. After that, the load is pushed off the platform when the truck reaches the destination.

Drum handling attachments are available in many different designs. They are many different models attached to handle 55 gallon drums. There are several smaller types of a paper roll clamps which go around the roll and also are capable of a full 360 degree rotation. There are other drum attachments which are able to pick up a range of drums all simultaneously.

Tilt control is one more option which enables you to preset fork tilt angles. The fork extensions are specialized extensions that slide over the existing forks on the truck so as to help you pick up and transport longer loads. The Carton clamp operates similar to a paper roll clamp except instead of being round, the clamping surface is flat.
